Question Warranty questions.

I have an 05 double cab tundra I am looking into adding a lift, new tires & wheels. Will I have any warranty problems that I may void. What kind of things should I look out for? Thanks.

Thanks,
Drake

MOSS ACT AS QUOTED FROM OTHERS STATES THAT THE AFTERMARKET PART MUST BE DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FAILURE OF THE OEM PART. Otherwise they will hold up the warranty. However some dealers are more lenient than others.

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

Anything that you do to the truck that causes damage is your cost, not Toyotas. For example, if your lift causes u-joint failure, you pay. If you lift and the radio breaks, Toyota pays for the radio.

Some things are not that black & white. Bigger tires create an effective higher gear ratio, so more load is put on the transmission, u-joints, and differential. If those fail, who really knows if they would have failed without the big tires, or if the big tires caused the failure.
