Default lack of performance with VSC

has anyone noticed the lack of performance with VSC option? i had a 03 AC and bought a new 05 DC with VCS. this truck is much slower than my old truck but it has more horsepower. the VSC kicks in way too easy and shuts down power or applies the brakes on curves. this really sucks, i thought my new truck would be faster than the old one. is it b/c the new truck is heavier?

Is there a button to turn off that VSC?

The VSC will only kick in when it senses you are in a slide. Where the vehicle yaw rate is more than the steering input should produce. I have driven mine pretty spirited and never noticed the vsc kicking in on corners. If you're out there trying to slide the truck around and doing drifting, the VSC will prevent it. I have noticed the traction control cutting power when taking off in the rain, but only enough to stop the slippage. The DC is heavier than the AC and that may be the difference you're feeling in power. The other difference is the drive by wire where the computer is controlling the throttle response.
