Default Proper Tire Pressure for the X-SP 295x45 tires?

Does anyone know what the proper tire pressure for the Pirelli 295x45's
is supposed to be? These are the tires that come with the Tundra X-SP
package. The door jam lists the pressure for the standard tires at
32psi front and 35psi rear.

The tire itself indicates 51psi at max load (which seems a bit high for normal
loads)

I checked all of my tires and they were all at 28psi so I inflated both
front and back to 35psi. But I have no way of knowing what the optimal
pressure is for an unloaded truck. My truck is a 2005 DC.

Has anyone with the X-SP setup had any luck finding out what the proper
tire pressure is supposed to be? The Pirelli and Toyota websites are no help.

I have the Enkei's with Falken tires of the same dimension as yours. You can use the factory spec for tire pressure and be just fine. The tire pressure listed on the sides of the tires are MAX pressure for that tire, not the recommended pressure for your vehicle.

I was having a slight feathering problem with my tires, so I increased the pressure to 40 psi front and 36 psi rear. This stiffens things up a little and doesn't allow the tire to flex as much, and it has stopped my feathering problem. Before anyone comments, yes the alignment has been checked and is correct.

Tire pressure is debatable for non-factory size tires, but what I have learned is that if they start wearing in the center more than the outer tread, the pressure is probably to high. If your pressure is to low, the the outer edges of the tire will wear faster than the centers.

Anyway, I have found on my 295/45/20 tires that 40 psi front and 36 psi rear is wearing pretty even. The reason for more pressure in the front is they carry more weight (unloaded) and the have a tendency to wear more especially if you drive mostly in town and take a lot of corners. Since most of my driving is around town at lower than highway speeds, the higher pressure helps to stop the feathering and other weird wear patterns.

I was thinking about going up to 40psi. That's 80% of the tires rated
max pressure and I read somewhere that 80% is a good rule of thumb.

I know that looking at the wear pattern will tell you if you're over or under
pressure but I don't want to wait until I have uneven wear to figure things
out.

I expect I'll get slightly better gas mileage with more pressure in the tires.
I just hope 40psi isn't over doing it.

Running 32PSI with the last set (and a good alignment) I was getting cupping on the front shoulders. I just got a new set of Toyo's I am trying 36PSI front and rear now. So far so good.
