Default Tire Pressure Light & annoying beeping alarm

I never knew '05 Tundras had a tire pressure monitoring system. The light indictor warned of low tire pressure, I went to the gas station to pump all fou tires but light is still on......does anyone know why?

On another topic......is there anyway to deactivate the security beeps when you press on the key fob to lock or unlock the doors.....beeping sound drives me nuts.....thx.

Default Tire Pressure Light

Check your spare cause it has a tire pressure monitor in also. It is not going to be easy since the spare is installed with the valve facing up towards the bed. I had the same problem but now the light is off.

Can't really help on the beeping thing though..Sorry

Randy

Look toward the driver's side firewall under the hood and you'll see a wire harness with a small red cylindrical looking plastic gizmo (beeper) attached. It has foam tape around it - put a piece of electrical tape over the little hole or unplug it all together.

Default tire pressure sensors - check this thread

http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...pressure+reset

if you change the pressure - you have to reset to set a new baseline

- re the beeper - I thought it was waking neigbours in the AM, so put duct tape over it. Cute little beep now.

you guys were right.....it was the spare tire that had low pressure.
wow didn't know spare had a sensor in it......light in dash is now gone.

as for the annoying beeping sound......I put electrical tape over the red horn.
Spoke w/dealer and they would have to reprogram it to now beep.

I can still hear the sound but alot better than before.
