Default What's the easiest/cheapest way to level? Front or Rear?

I want to level the look of my truck, but need some inputs from people who have already done it. Please post pics of your ride and mention if the front or rear was done. Also, what kit was used?

I really appreciate this. Right now I'm leaning toward the daystar kit, anyone have issues with their front kit?

Thanks,
David

Dave,

I used a set of SOS lowering shackles on the rear of my 02 AC (4wd). Dropped the rear about 1.5" lower and made the truck sit level. Very pleased with the quality and ease of installation from SOS.

Default Leveling Tundra

I found that if just leveling your Tundra is what you're after then the least complicated and economical way is to lower the rear.

I used Bel Techs shackle replacement kit #6400 and got a true 1 3/4" rear drop. By my measurement with stock wheels and tires the rear is still a 1/2" higher than the front but it's hardly noticeable unless I had not pointed it out. This mod has the added benefit of not adversely affecting the trucks handling or tire clearance. You will have to reaim your headlights but other than that, that's it.

Raised my front 3 years ago with Daystar 1 inch spacers. 60 bucks on ebay and 35 bucks for my local 4x4 shop to install. Maintains the factory ride. No problems and very affordable.

Hey David,

HERE'S what I did to lift/level my DC. A little more expensive than spacers, but certainly WELL worth it IMHO! Not to mention, that it's still WAY CHEAPER than full-blown coilover assemblies!!

btw: there are photos included with the link.

Dave
