OK, first off this is my first post, so hello to all.
I've really enjoyed and learned a great deal from the posts I've thus far.
This is a really well done BBS, my compliments to the site owner(s).
This is my problem.
I bought (which I love) a 2005 4-Door Tacoma SR5, TRD in April of 2005.
I like the looks, the performance, the quality. And the size, for my daily driver is just fine.
But like a dink, when I was considering all of the pros and cons of the smaller vehicle (I traded in a 1996 Full-Size Bronco) I neglected to factor in the fact that my 3 and 4 yo boys would eventually grow taller than 44”.
Now, my (above average in height) 4 yo had a bit of a growth spurt and his feet are either pushing against the back of my seat, or he turns them outward and complains that it hurts after a while. He tries, but I can tell it is really uncomfortable. At least I can push the passenger seat all the way forward for my other boy who is also tall.
So, now I am forced to consider a larger truck. Seeing as how I really love the Tacoma, and all the reasons that caused me to go the way of Toyota over Ford\Dodge (the reliability, the quality, etc.) still holds true, I would like to go with a Sequoia or Tundra. Leaning towards Tundra as I really want to stick with a PU.
My question is; does the Tundra (4-Door of course) offer a significant amount of backseat leg room over the Tacoma? I want to ask here before I go in and have to deal with a salesperson all over again. I anticipate that you current owners might be able to help guide me in the right direction.
If the Tundra does not have decent backseat room, enough say for at least 2 adults to sit comfortably, I might have to consider a Sequoia or (I hate to say it) an F-250.
Also, if you have pictures of the cabin of your Tundra (4-Door) -please send me the link or e-mail me some pics...
Thanks for any help folks, Bob Kelly.
