butasan is on a distinguished road.
Question cold air intake

I was thinking to get a cold air intake system for my 2006 tundra 4.7, but I noticed that intake pipe has a small chamber that is connected to the engine via a couple of tubes.
I wonder what this chamber is, and if I can remove it.

Default Re: cold air intake

It's there to separate the crankcase gasses and recycle them into the air intake. In other words this box will keep oil from getting into your intake and contaminating things. This is one of the main reasons I didn't install a CAI in my truck yet, since none of these systems have this vapor separator.
