Default 05-06 DC Weathertech Rear Floor Liner Fit Info

Been reading the site for awhile taking advantage of the good info - thought it was time to try and give back a little.

I recently ordered the new custom fit rear floor liner by Weathertech for my 06 Double Cab (see the thread by PistolPete for the background: Weathertechs Floor Liner for Tundra Double Cabs). Unfortunately when it arrived, it didn't fit due to the location of the front passenger bench seat support. Weathertech was unaware of this incompatibility with the front bench seat option when I ordered (I asked), but I suspect it fits fine on models with the captain chairs.

The liner can be trimmed to fit around the front passenger bench seat support, but it will eliminate part of the raised lip on the passenger site. The Weathertech engineer did confirm that trimming is necessary with the front bench seats.

Overall, I like the liner and am going to just trim it and put the messy kid on the other side of the truck. To Weathertech's benefit, they did offer a full refund and to pay for shipping when I called to let them know about the fit.

EL TORO...thanks so very much for your report on this matter....the TS members need to know how these aftermarket products fit EVERY Tundra/Tacoma no matter what the options or configurations....sorry for you fitment issues....at least you have one that fits with minor mods....I'm still waiting for them to redevelop the 2004 models.....they said to check back in a few weeks....so hopefully mine will be soon.....till then the muddy 100+ lb Swissy stays out of the truck!!!!

well that was great info,I have the front tubs, been waiting on the rear ones.
My yellow lab mix and black lab mix love the back seat area so I purchased a hammock unit and it keeps them in the back seat area and not thrown around very much dirt off the seat.
will have to get the rear unit a coming my way.
