1Gen-TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Does anyone have N-Fab Nerfs on a Tundra?", within the 1Gen-Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
im looking to buy nerfs for my tundra.
i was just wondering if anyone has them and how well do they handle against rust?
or even any n-fab products?
also if i get em what color should i go for?
white, black, chrome?
i might get chrome or polished wheels like pro comp 6005 or 107/607 dont know which yet.
july issue of off-road has a white tacoma chrome wheels with black body protectors on it and it looks good. kinda thinking the color combo. or should i paint match it white?
chrome would seriously be the last option but im open minded if anyone can point out some pros i may consider it.
thanks

go with nasta. everything is stainless steel including ALL the mounting hardware. i live close to the beach and the salt is a bitch. these still look like their brand new!!
I got the N-Fabs and love them. Maybe the others are better, i don't know, but these look great and function fine. I get lots of compliments

Just mounted the N-fabs and have been really happy with them. I will see how they will hold up but I don't think they will see much harsh weather out here in CA. I went with the black to match the Randy Ellis light bar.

Does anyone have pics of the N-Fabs on an access cab????
yessir!
and
and
I don't use them much, my shorty fiance' uses them every time though.
Also, these things collect a lot of mud.
I also had them repainted. Sanded off the powdercoat and did a two-stage paint with acid etching primer and a semi-flat black finish. Not worried about the paint anymore.

Wow! Those N-Fabs look great! Making me rethink my NASTAs, but I couldn't beat the price of my bars. However, I am experiencing bar envy

When I bought my '06 Tundra they came with steps / nerf bars that just weren't normal stock. To this day, I still have yet to find anyone in my area that has the same color truck / model / nerf bars. I never knew who made them or what they were called, but now I do... N-Fab.
For anyone looking at buying them, they are by far the sturdiest step / nerf bar I've ever stepped on, and I have a lot of weight to throw around - 280lbs. Other step / nerf bars feel like they're almost going to buckle under me, but not the ones on my truck - N-Fab.

I didn't know the Access Cab came in a Limited version, or did you color match the grill on your truck yourself?

My efforts have paid off and my life is now complete!
I de-SR5'd it.
