Default Re-did my Tundra Door Panels.

I couldn't stand the door panel look any longer. So I finally found some Realtree Hardwood Grey to go with my 04 Phantom Grey Toy. It didn't take much effort. What do you think? I covered the center console too.

That looks hip, How'd you do that ? You say it's gray but your interior is light beige. I don't see how it could match, but it looks good.

Thanks. I got some realtree material from Wal-Mart and took off the door panels and removed the insert (the part covered) by taking my soldering gun and melting the plastic retainers on the back. Layed the material over the panel with overlap and sewed it to the existing material on the backside. I had to cut out and re-sew some of the material so it would lie flat.
Then stick the insert back on and re-melt (weld) the plastic.

That is way cool!!! You did a great job on it. I would love a step-by-step on it and any progress pics if you have them. Lets see the center too. The only thing I am worried about is us men talking about sewing !!

PM your e-mail and I'll send you a couple e-mails I sent to another member with some pics and an explanation of how I did it. There is some flaws. It's not factory quality for my 1st time. I'd probably try some headliner adhesive next time instead of sewing the outer edges. I didn't want to screw up the original if my plan sucked!
