Default Changing the antenna - better or worse?

I am thinking about changing out my current antenna {30"} to a shorter one - what do you suggest {length and style} and have you had good or bad results with reception?

Has anyone changed from the stock antenna?

I changed mine to a shorter one and my reception still works well.

I changed to a 9" black "stubby" antenna. No change in reception. Looks GREAT.

Total time to install - 30 seconds. It is not square on the bottom like the stock antenna but round, so do not use any tools to tighten the antenna as you WILL scratch it. Hand tighten and only if you think it will vibrate loose (I just did mine hand tight) use some Locktite to be sure it stays in position.

Hope this helps.
