Default How to disable the Key Reminder in a 2005 DC

I would like to disable the beeping when I have the key in the ignition and the door open. I read the two methods in the "garage" or electrical wiring section but when I pull my instrument cluster, I find only two connectors, not the four connectors as stated in the instructions. I am going to guess that the instructions are for older tundras, either standard or access cab. Does anyone have ideas on how to do it on an double cab?

seeing that you're a subscriber and you have access to all the PDF's... i'd look at the wiring diagram and find what color wire goes to the door indicator... i'd assume when it opens, it completes a circuit hence why you hear the beeping noise.. i believe if you ground out the indicator completely and take it out of the loop, you would no longer hear the buzzing noise.. however your interior lights would also not come on when you open the door doing it this way...

i cant think of any other way to do it...

I have the wiring manual for my 2005 and am trying to compare the wiring diagrams to the 2001 diagram in Wiring Diagram section. It appears that the Method 2 in the Lighting and Electronics FAQ pulled the lead from the unlock warning switch (within the key ignition) to the instrument cluster.
When I compare with the 2005 diagram I have, this same switch goes into the Body ECU which then ties into the instrument cluster via THREE wires. Before I begin experimenting and potentially letting the smoke get out of the wrong wires, I thought I would turn to the experts within the population for help.
