Default Old Group Buy Price on Hellwig Sway Bar still Honored

Posted here to reach the most Tundra owners. Just an FYI, I had spoken to Nancy @ Hellwig about three weeks ago, prior to me finding another member's resale sway bar. She said they would still honor the old group buy sale price of last year...$150 + ship

This is NOT another group buy. Just call them and tell Nancy you are ordering off the old Toyota Tundra buy....no code needed. It's not a huge savings, but if you were looking for one anyway, might as well do it now

See the old thread in "Group Buys" for the phone number and info...

Hello...
Just called Hellwig to order a swaybar for my '05 AC. Nancy was in a meeting so my call was directed to a gentleman named Gilbert who said he would honor the TS Forum price if I had the code #, which I don't have since I bought my truck last year just as the orig. group buy was ending. How do I get the code? Or should I wait and get a hold of Nancy? I wanna swaybar!

Did they ever come up with a quick disconnect for the sway bar? How about longer connections for those of us with lifts?

It was my impresson that the hammertone was no extra charge. If it is more, so be it..! Looks nice on the Hellwig website.

A few people have emailed me for the group buy code, despite the original post saying that it is not needed. The powers that be approved the posting of the code for future orders. So in case you need it, the code is TS-H1. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. Thanks.

Guys still considering adding the Hellwig bars - can you guys who have them give some feedback AFTER you've gotten them installed - is it $ well spent? when/where do you notice it most (04 DC I'm thinking of them for) THANKS!

I have installed several sets on Chevs in the past. I find their fit and finish to be marginal. Some cutting / grinding was always needed, and the rear bars needed to be modified to prevent slipping around the axle tube, as I recall. They did improve handling once they were "fixed". Noticeably flatter cornering. Also I would say don't bother replacing front bars, only install on the rear, as this produced most of the handling improvements.

I installed my swaybar (the hammertone looks nice!) the next day after receiving it. The instructions are about as clear as mud, so I used the instructions and pictures from the TS Forum. This was a great help! These bars definitely take out some of the "understeer"..the truck drives much better, corners flatter. Well worth the money to me...I like a good handling vehicle.
The only installation issues I had were: First, the drivers side frame bracket is really difficult to feed into the frame rail beside the gas tank...had to use the thin wire + dental floss ( ! ) method on the bolt threads to pull the bolt into position. Second, the end-link bolts could stand to be 1/4" longer. You have to compress the grommets a bit to get the nuts started. I had to resort to a small hydraulic jack on the bottom of the bar and raise it a bit.
