Default Its finally time...(first mod)

I just got off the phone with the local exhaust shop and I'm going to take my tundra to them on my lunch break. They said it should be done before the end of the day. They are going to weld in a 14" magnaflow into my stock piping. I've done tons of research before I finally come to my decision but if it is too loud I can always change to the 18" muffler. I'm 22 years old though and my truck has to sound better than my brothers F150 with duals. I will get some pics and sounds clips sometimes this weekend. WOOHOO!!!

One question though...should I keep the stock resonator thing that is before the muffler or have it removed?

Keep it, help with the cab noise.

Have them remount your tail pipe higher too. Just my opinion. Stock is too low.

Well I just got back from the shop and I'm kind of running a different route since I have talked to the guy. I'm going to replace the exhaust with 2.5" piping and getting a 14" Magnaflow muffler. He is going to put beefier hangers in because the stock ones are kind of bouncy and I'm getting a rolled semi-oval tip. He has two different sizes for the tip that I liked but I went with the medium (probably around 3"). Thought the bigger one would make it look more like a ricer. Appreciate all the help! Total cost w/out tip was $125!

anyone else here not really a fan of magnaflow?

i know they make decent muffers.. I guess im hung on flowmasters. My friend has the dual flowmasters on his 06 and has JBA headers... not overkill at all and the truck has a great tone

Here is what I got:

2.5" piping w/ 14" mirror finish Magnaflow - 3" rolled semi-oval tip!

Sounds good, definitely can tell that it is there but at 2500rpm or 80mph you can't hardly hear it inside the cab. I also left the resonator on so that might be why I'm not getting drone or anything. Definitely turns heads! ! ! I will get pics and video up a.s.a.p.

My Dual Tip cat back MagnaFlow system is quiet as can be unless you stomp on the gas...

Overall, I dig mine...
