Check engine light on 2000 Tundra
Hi: I've read here about the check engine light at the extended warranty on the o2 sensors. I have a 200 Tundra which only has about 30,000 miles on it and the check engine light is on. I plugged it into one of the code readers (thanks also for the info that you can do this for free at Auto Zone) - sure enough - it's the o2 sensor code.
I called the service dept at the deal and they said that IF it's the o2 sensor that the warranty has been extended ... but that often times the computer throws that code even though there's nothing wrong with the o2 sensor. Is this true ???? Have you ever heard of the o2 sensor code being a problem with something other than the o2 sensor ?????
I have a service appt at the dealer scheduled for tomorrow morning 9/15.
Thanks in advance,
Doreen
