Got remote start installed

Had a remote start installed by a local shop in my 2004 DC today and everything seems to be working perfect, I have read some threads on remote starts but the local shop in which I buy my truck accessories at didn't carry the line many of you have or recommended the one I got is made by a company called (accele) the box reads usa pro security honestly don't know anything about this company except the local shop stands behind it.

I just wanted a simple remote start that would still use the existing factory alarm system and would enable the the doors to stay locked when started I upgraded the remote to a 2 way w/ a lcd read out and a range of I believe they told me it was 1500ft overall I'm pleased w/ it and only time will tell about it's durability I ended up w/ 3 remote transmitter's 2 w/o lcd screens and 1 w/ a lcd screen it's doing exactly what I need

If anyone else happens to have this brand please let me know your overall expierence or views of this unit

After doing some research I learned I probally paid 2 much, but my wife actually set-up the appointment and picked out the system as a x-mas gift, the reciept is broken down like this

$125.00 for remote start
$ 88.OO for 2-way lcd remote
$ 75.00 labor
$ 10.00 relay
$ 17.84 tax

when she picked up the truck she paid in cash and the total they charge her was $298.00 I bless her heart for getting this for me and I have been getting all of my truck accessories from this shop for the past 10 yrs and they have always taken good care of us and took care of anything that they ever sold us they do everyting from window tinting to full lift kits and this is a local mom $ pop shop good people

Thats not too bad, espically if you "like" the shop. I noticed that you have the LoPro tonneau. How long have you had it. Has it withstood the winters/summers like you would like?

This is my second winter of having the truxedo and it looks as good as the day I got it has just recently went throught an ice storm here in the midwest when I was looking at them the best internet price I found was around $360.00 shipped I picked mine up at the local truck shop for $400.00 that was installed and taxes included so for $40.00 more I went locally just in case there ever was a problem overall I defiantely like the looks of the lo-pro over the conventional tonneau covers
