Default Lost power to power outlets - '06 DC

I just noticed today, that I no longer have power to any of the 3 power outlets in my 06 DC. I still have power to my cigarette lighter, and I checked the power outlet fuse and everything looks ok. The only thing I have done recently is install a USA-SPEC ipod adapter, but that was very non-intrusive and shouldn't have affected the power outlets.

Anyone else experience this?

I have the same problem in a 2006 sequoia. The cig power outlet works but none of the other outlets. All fuses have been checked and double ckecked. No power according to a volt meter. I heard LG phone chargers will blow a fuse, and I have used one. I have also been told the switches are smart rigged, i.e. turn off by themselves after a time. I'm thinking there is a problem with the "brain", however, no manual discusses the issue. i have a 10 hour trip with 2 boys in 3 days and no juice for the dvds.

For the 12v power outlets check the 15A PWR OUTLET fuse, for the 115v outlets check the 15A AC INV. fuse

I had replaced the 15A pwr outlet fuse w/ the 15A seat heater fuse, which visually appeared O.K. No power. I replaced that with an after market "smart fuse" which blew with the the LG phone charger, replaced and blew with an ipod charger. Replaced and seems to run with the valentine detectorwhich has always been run on the cig lighter, I'll try that for awhile then the dvds. It appears the power outlets are selective on what they want to run. i just cannot fathom why there was power to the seat heater with the voltmeter and not on the power outlets. Delay ower output?

Thumbs up Re: Lost power to power outlets - '06 DC

on the 06 double cab, check the 15amp power outlet fuse first. then check the fuse for the "brain" of the system. it is the 7.5amp rad #2 fuse. all three outlets work off the same two fuses.
the power outlet system is not connected to the cig ligher system.
if both fuses are good, then the next is the 140amp alt fusible link.

note: the ipo cuts off the power if the demand is over 6Ah and for
five seconds after the ign switch is turned to the start position.

for the 05/06 sequoia, see above. yspert
