What Is The Differents Between TRD Truck And A Non TRD Truck? What Does A TRD Truck Have That A Non TRD Truck Doesnt Have. Is It The Packgaes That You Can Add With Your Truck, When You Buy It From The Dealer?

i believe its only the shocks and lsd... but you can do a search on this because it has been discussed many times...

1) TRD off-road trucks have progressive rate front coil springs that soak up bumps offroad better than the non-trd ones, because they are slightly softer at first, but get firmer as load increases.

2) TRD trucks have Bilstein shocks front and rear that are supposedly better than the stock Tokico ones.

3) I think the rear leaf springs are the same on both.

4) TRD trucks say "TuRD" on the side

PS: Tacoma TRDs are packaged a little different, as there are Sport and Off-Road packages. I can elaborate on those too if you'd like.....

I do not believe there is an lsd stock, at least for the earlier years. You can buy one, but it isn't part of the TRD package.

The TRD package also comes with fog lights, different wheels.

i have the lsd on my non trd 06... my buddy has a trd one... not much difference at all.... driving is identical... fancy sticker package i guess

My 06 limited (non TRD) 4x4 has LSD (it is switchable) as well as VSC...
