Tundra dc keyless

I have a new 06 dc tundra and we also bought my wife an 06 4runner. I have noticed that my keyless range is very poor. My wifes is super! I have hit hers at atleast 100 yards and mine will hardly work at 20- 25 yards. Is this just normal for the dc keyless or should I take it to my dealer?

Thanks, tried a search with no luck on the effective range of the units.

It is interesting that you say that because I have an 05 limited Dbl cab 4x4that I can be so far away from the truck that I can hardly see it and the keyless works BUT I have a 05 SR5 Dble cab 4x4 that I have to be up close. There is a difference in the two as far as the Limited has security and the SR5 doesnt. other than that it make no sence to me!

both my wifes and mine are SR5 models. Interesting.

I would bet it is a SR5 problem. However I would talk to the dealer.

Same here.
It has to be a clear shot towards the front of the truck, but I can get it to work anywhere from 50 to 75 yards w/ no problem.
