You can see all TSB's applicable to your 2006 Tundra > HERE
NV004-06 Is for everything but a 2006 Tundra, i will just carry in and let Toyota worry about it! Thanks for info and i have a decent dealearship that will hook me up. I might not like some of their practises but it is a lesson in progress!!hehe!! The last lesson was lugnuts torqued to PAST 150 Ft Lbs when manual says 83 Ft Lbs!! i had them annotate it in their computer so if problems arise later i will have proof of their mistake!! I will get a copy of that annotation wheni carry it in for seats!! Gotta keep um honest!!
SO! Please elaborate a tad on a seat TSB my drivers seat makes all knida weird squeaking noisies as i go around corners or over bumps and passenger seat likes to vibrate but does no make a group of noise but is anyoing!! Both are the Captain Chairs is there a link to TSB? i will dig for it but i am only a registerd memeber!! Any help would be appreciated!!
Mine are captains chairs as well. '06 AC 4x4 with the center console jockey box.
According to my dealer the TSB was not what was causing my seat (passenger only, when not occupied) to rattle. They have ordered new retainer clips for me and will install them in a week or two when they arrive. Basically the way the tech explained it was that the retainer clips hold the seat in place after it has been adjusted on the track (forward/backward). The clips were worn and allowing the seat to rattle and shake a bit. The tech that did my ball joints and grille has 2 Tundras and noticed that my seat made more noise than his and investigated it, the Service Advisor wanted to skip it altogether. Now the seat only makes noise when no one is sitting in it, for all I know the driver side seat is the same, but since I’m sitting there…well, you get the point…
About the TSB number, when I researched it a few months ago, our 2006 Tundra was on that list. Here’s the list I copied off this very website a few months ago…
Some customers may experience a squeak noise due to contact between the seat track locating pin(s) and the floor pan location hole(s). The following procedure describes the repair method to correct this condition.
guess my eyeglass perscription is overdue and like i said i will take it in and they are great people, they will pretty much do what i ask them to!! Thanks for the clarification, guess i had some junk on my glasses!! OOPS!! i go to the link the admin posted and it says nothing about a 2006 Tundra? check out his link? your link has it posted? no big deal i will get it looked at and fixed hopefully!!
My drivers seat Captains Chair make loud sqeaking noises when cornering and going over bumps at the same time but even me being a large fellow it should not do this and i have also watched the drivers seat vibrate since new but did not know it was covered with a TSB!! Is the drivers seat covered for squeaking under a TSB??
Yes, they did the drivers seat as well. I have no idea what the TSB is called. All I know is that my dealer said that there was a TSB for it. I wish I had more info.

Slightly off topic as the seat TSB wasn’t performed to fix my passenger seat noise, but I thought I’d let ya’ll know what they did that seems to have fixed the problem.
They ordered a new seat track and assembly and it was installed today (part# 71110-0C050 according to the invoice). No more noise! They also recalibrated and adjusted the air bag. Total cost for said fix, $877.70 with Toyota picking up the entire amount.
Anyhow, over the last week I’ve had close to $1900.00 in warranty work performed by my local stealership (ball joints/new grille/seat issue) plus the cost of the 2 rental cars (2006 Chrysler 300 and 2007 Toyota Highlander). Zero cost to me. The service at my stealership is top notch in my opinion…

That's a lot of work on a vehicle less than a year old. Somewhat disappointing for a Toyota.
How did you like the Chrysler 300?

I purchased it Dec of '05, and it has 15,000 miles on it now. Anyhow, I just take it in stride. The grille was cosmetic, the seat a minor annoyance, the ball joints a recall item.
Nothing is perfect, but I do know my old '91 4x4 ExtraCab is still alive. I'm thinking the Tundra will be in another 15 years as well. As for Toyota standing behind the product, well done thus far...that's why I'm a repeat buyer. And considering it’s my DD (I do drive hard, but take care of my toys), I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Anyhow, the Chrysler 300 was a blast to drive as I rarely get to drive a car. Handled great and really stuck to the road, motor/road noise was very quite, and the transmission was smooth. Had 10,000 miles on it and a slight rattle in the driver side door area. Though it was a rental car…probably been beat to sh!t by people. But other than that I think they’re really onto something if you are in the market for that type of vehicle.
The Highlander beats the wife’s Honda CRV hands down. Now she wants one…though I’ve seen on the other boards here the MPG is not up to par.
Anyhow, the seat in the Tundra is quite and that’s what this thread is really about…
