whats up everybody i have a 06 tundra dc i just bought 4x4 that i soon will be moding. I love this truck and if you know me that is almost impossible for me to say i go through trucks like my underwear everyday almost. But i really think i am going to keep this truck as it fits all my needs. But it needs some aftermarket stuff to it. THe best thing is the BACK WINDOW ROLLS DOWN. That is the coolest thing every.

Hi everone! I love this site, it is full of great info.
Anyway I just bought a 2002 access cab tundra, 80k miles, 4x4. I traded in my 2006 double cab 4x4 a while ago to get a suburban for my wife so I am glad to have a truck again, even though its not my 06.

Hello!
I work full time and go to ASU, live in Phoenix AZ. Glad i found this site!
Bought a 02 4wd Limited AC two months ago. The truck had 83.5K miles at the time, 65K on the v8 engine. Leather interior.
Paid $6,500 cash for it (how'd i do?) I've been driving it alot on the weekends to get out of the Phoenix AZ heat and do some exploring, truck now has 88K miles. he he. I guess i need to take it easy huh?
Recently did an oil and filter change. Mobil 1 5w30
I recently found four 285/70/17 BFGoorich all terrains with plenty of thread left for $200. Love the tires but acceleration did take a hit with these massive tires. I found this site as i was researching spacers to level out the front. After doing some research i will like to do a 2'' level with billstein 5100s, diff drop, and clamp the CV boots. I would like to go higher(3'' max) but need to do some more searching here to see how the CV joints and boots hold up to a 3'' lift.
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
I've been lurking (mostly) here for several months, soaking up information and "doing my homework" in preparation for replacing my all-but-deceased 1988 'merican tow vehicle that has left me stranded on the road and cussin' and has puzzled vastly better mechanics than myself far, FAR too many times. I wanted a Toyota when I bought that Dodge in '98, but Toyota didn't make the Tundra then ... and the '85 Toyota truck (still hauling hay and now with 361K, but no longer on the original engine) reallyreallyREALLY needed to be reduced to semi-retirement, having done more than enough towing of loads vastly heavier than Toyota ever intended. Like two llamas in a heavy stock rack in the bed and three llamas plus packing or showing gear in a two-horse trailer and sometimes a couple of llama carts on the top of the trailer and stock rack ...
A couple of days ago I FINALLY found THE Tundra I have been looking for, an '00 V8 4WD SR5 Access Cab. He's essentially all stock, platinum metallic, has the alloys, and most importantly, the towing package (and as a bonus, electric trailer brakes already). Also wearing a canopy that will be OK for now (a larger one, along with a spray-in bedliner, will be needed later for hauling 1-2 more llamas besides whatever's in the 13' stock trailer) and he's got a push bar that really has to go because it's just doing nothing for my purposes.
A big THANKS to all of you who have posted your experiences, cautions, DIY fixes and everything else. Y'all made me a much better informed shopper, and I know I'll be a much better Tundra owner as a result, too. If my new (to me) Tundra is anything like the rest of my Toyotas, he'll be the last tow vehicle I'll ever have to buy. If he learns anything at all from my vans, he'll never break down except at home. Especially since my vans have already taught me so much about wrenching and paying attention to their needs.

Hi all. I've got a white 2003, 4wd, V8, Access Cab Tundra -- no problems so far. Found this site and wanted to register. Tired of being gouged for routine maintenance and look forward to all of the great insight here. Thanks.

Hello all, i'm not really new here. I've been on this board close to inception. My first Tundra was a 2000 Access Cab V8. Then I purchased a 2007 5.7L Tundra RCSB w/sport appearance package. Truly sorry I got rid of that truck. However I couldnt stay away. I have just purchased a 2010 Tundra CrewMax 5.7L Silver Sky Metallic w/TRD Off Road package. This truck is much bigger than anything i've ever driven. Luckilly it has the backup camera w/display built into the rearview mirror. I really wanted the Limited with the Platinum package. Just simply too much money @$50k. I paid $34,100 and got $2k back in rebate. It's a beautiful truck. No regrets. Since I got it I added the Platinum's billet style grill, chrome door handles, all weather mats, sport pedals, stainless steel running boards, a bed mat and a tailgate protector (same ones used with the bedliners). Lookin' forwards to adding an exhaust. No supercharger for me. I have my Mustang to fill that void

Hello all, new to this site but not new to Toyota's my wife and i just purchased a 2001 black 2wd tundra access cab to replace our well aged toyota previa all trac 367,000 miles and the transfer case has called it quits! the tundra we bought has 71k miles and is in beautiful condition
A little about myself, we live in Texas, married with 3 kids and 2 grand children and a son in law LOL, i have been a Toyota tech since 1984 a master tech since sometime in the 90's and currently work for a major car rental company that is a GM, Chrysler, Toyota and soon to be Ford warranty service center ( we are allowed to perform warranty service on the vehicles we purchase from those companies) we have a few tundras in our fleet and do not see any major mechanical problems with them, we had a few with the battery hold down installed to tight from the factory that had crushed the battery case top so much they leaked acid into the tray other wise its just fluid changes that keep these Toyota's on the road for a very long time
I suspect this tundra we bought will be with as long as my 92 previa was...take care all!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for a while and just decided to join up as a member. As you can tell by my user name I don't have a Tundra yet. I hope to have one soon. I've been a huge Tundra fan for a long time. Prices on 1st gens are just now coming close to my price ranger (under 10k) So hopefully I'll have one soon.

Hello everyone! I have had my 07 Tundra Limited for about a year and a half now. I am also the proud owner of a 05 Sienna LE. Love them both and look forward to getting some good info on making them better (If I possible)

2007 Tundra Double Cab SR5 4x4 4.7L. Not a first time visitor, but finally signed up to be able to post. I've had some recent catalytic converter tragedies and will post them appropriately for others to be able to benefit from my experience.
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
2006 DC and not regretting the 07 I passed up. Finally broke out of the import race scene after blowing a ridiculously expensive honda prelude built turbo project. This is my first truck to ever own, and I'll be darned if I am not already hooked. Of course I had to stay with my imports, and what better than a Toyota! Looking forward to ideas such as nerf bars, bed liners, lifts; search function friendly.
Thanks

Found my first Toyota..an 06 Special Edition XF1 package Tundra with 21,000 miles on it. Its been about 30 years since I owned a truck and this one drives a bit nicer than I remember then as in the late 70's. Heck my cars didn't drive that good. anyway I love it and my back yard is finally clean out all the junk that had been piling up. The wife loves the clean up too. Now all I need is a fishin boat to hang on that hitch!
