hello to everyone. i am honored to have joined this site. i should be picking up my 2wd, dc, 06 tundra limited on monday. my first toyota truck was an 1989 five speed i owned back in the early 90's. this time around i would have liked a 5.7 liter for the power, but the ride quality of the 06 is what i liked better. i have been reading on this forum for a couple days now and i really like the maturity and class everyone seems to carry around here. i come from mustang forums, and you get all kinds of personalities on them. i also have an 08 gt mustang that i have enjoyed modding over the past year or so. i figure i'll stick with cosmetic mods on the tundra. i know, i know... famous last words. HA! great to be on board! !

Just purchased 2002 V8 Tundra SR5 Access cab. Had a 2002 Dodge Ram that I bought new. Just had to put a new transmisson in it last month @ 95k. I sold it while it was still on the lift at the transmission shop. Loving my Tundra so far... Its what I should have bought back in 02 to begin with.

Morning folks. I am the proud owner of a 2005 D-cab 4x4 Salsa Red. Bought it new and currently have about 60k miles on it. 2.5" Cornfed coilspacers with 1" blocks in the rear with 285/75-16s on the factory Enkei wheels. Looking at new rims and tires now and possibly a 3" body lift and replacing the spacers with Bilstein or Fabtech coilovers. Thanks for all the great info.

Hi Folks,
A quick introduction from a new member. I stumbled across this site while researching some issues, AWSOME!!
I have a 2000 Tundra Access Cab 4X4. Bought it new in August, 2000. 115,000 road miles on it. For the most part I like it and would love to drive the wheels off it. It has never been back to the dealer since I drove it off the lot as they left a bitter taste in my mouth.
The issues that I've had:
Front brakes. replaced them 3 times.
Front seat belts don't retract.
Frame is rusting
I've replaced 3 of the 4 O2 sensors.
Parking brake no longer works.
Ooh, it seems I have a bit of a list. I'd better get cracking. Overall, it has treated me fine but it has some issues.
Besides the new front brakes and the spray in bedliner, it is 100% stock.

im willling to bet nobody reads this post. either way, new blood here. but ive been watching quietly for atleast a year. i learned a lot of useful info on how to care for and modify my tundra. i learned whats good and whats bad, helpful and hurtful. i owe many thanks and i gotta say them. big big thanks to v8toilet, where you been man? everytime i saw your name here i had to read carefully what knowledge you had to share. so grateful, hope youre still around. next is devinsixtyseven. without your wisdom id be sitting on a cradle lift! no offense to anybody who has one but its less functional off road than a set of adjustable coilovers. while im not ready for long travel or a solid axle(cant do it cuz im 2wd) i learned all i know about suspension from reading that priceless post you put up. also thanks to tms2u for being on that same post. other thanks go to joe, huge moose, and tundrainorange. tundrainorange, your truck is sick as it gets, thanks for inspiration. thanks also to derrik at toytec for having the answers when i felt dumb. super cool guy if anybody needs info. now that im done with my thanks, hers what ive got today.
toytec coilovers; work way better than oem on street, freeway, dirt and mud. worth every penny and the month i waited for back order. if youre thinking bout getting these, do it. spintech prostreet muffler w stock pipe. sounds smooth when i want, mean as hell when i want. very little drone and i cant get over how small it is. axis regulator rims with yoko ats 285/75s.good rims, great tires. bougth 6 of these used from scott webb, thanks scott. modded airbox, just cut off the elbow. also run k and n HAI in the winter and gotta say that with my spintech sounds so rude. like a pissed of tiger. real pissed off. my stereo is cool but this isnt an audiophile forum and i didnt learn stereos from it. im very much technology impaired but when i learn how to i will have more to offer other members as far as tech advice sound clips and pics. im glad to be here. oh yeah, theres a guy with a funny mustache man on his pic. thanks to him too.

I bought my 05 DC SR5 new. I have 40k so far. It's used for a short commute and long distances to get to fishing holes. Only mods are Air Raid air filter and Air Lift bags, compressor, and load controller. Any suggestions out there for a good location for the load controller gauge? Can't stand it getting in the way of my knee and foot.

Hey everyone, I've got an 06 DC SR5 4x2 I bought off the lot back in december 06. 1 mile on it when I test drove it. It's got 39k on it all, all on-road miles.
Not much done to it yet, just a bed liner, tonneau cover, and some step bars. I've just ordered a 3" front leveling kit and 2" rear AAL, hopefully gonna be in next week. Next up hoping to add some fresh shocks and maybe an exhaust.
I still get on some at the Audi forums, my wife's gotta 99 A4 1/8T Quattro, manual trans, S4 Clutch, bilstein/h&k lower, borla exhaust, silicone inlet tubes, chipped, oem nav, black depo e-codes w/ 8000K HID's, etc. Fun little car. She likes to pick on me sometimes cause her little car's got AWD and my big truck only puts it to the rear.

Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
HI guys and gals, I found this site because of the problem I was having with my 08 crew max a/c. with no help from the dealer who I never trusted to work on my 1990 toy truck that I still have with 204, miles. Because of the mechanical incompetence, I have elected to complete my seven volumes of the toyota repair manual finishing at the over $900. They must make them trucks real complicated for the do-it-yourselfer these days. The only time that I have seen this many books that thick is at the phone book recycle fair. I havn't recieved any feed back from my post so I am hitting the books.

Hello all. Tim Skaggs here. Just bought an '02 Tundra limited w/88K miles. Sunfire Red Pearl; very nice looking truck. I won't be making any major mods to this ride, but it will get some moderate off road use where I hunt in the Ozarks of NW Arkansas. I've already notices inner CV boots slinging a little grease, and one side is a little loose, so I have some maintenance to do.
My first project will probably be to get those axles in shape. I may also consider adding manual hubs just to stop spinning those axles when not necessary.
