Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself Here
Hey.. This is my first time... ever. posting to anything. But .. I had questions
that needed answering. And this seemed like the best place to get answers.
First. my ride.. '03 4x4 TRD Tundra.. stock engine. so far. 4.5" Tuff-Country suspension lift with 33" B.F. Goodrich A/T ko's (installed myself)...love the gentle ride.. but need about 2" of lift more in the front.. mostly to get rid of a little tire rub when hitting any bumps with the wheels turned.. my question: Does anybody out there have any experience with either the "Race Runner" shocks that Sway-Away makes or the Donohoes.. either one of these will give me the lift needed.. but will the ride be harsh.? (not for me but for the girls/women).. ok maybe a little bit for me. I know that Sway-Away makes a
2" shock that claims to be smoother.. but this would be my last resort.

Wazzz up everybody!???!?!?
My name is Tom and I am new to these forums and I am a new Tundra owner! I just finished up college and bought my first Tundra. I have been a toyota fan since birth. My dad had an old toyota pick-up that went 385k miles. It could have gone more, but unfortunately he let one of his employee's drive it and consequently it was totaled by a semi. I just recently bought an 04 Tundra DC SR5 TRD 2WD... it currently has 35k miles on it. I got a great deal on it. I am very happy with my decision even with the gas prices the way they are. Being 6'4 and weighing in at 265lbs I needed a bigger vehicle than my old 3.0L V6 Nissan Maxima lol .... So, hello to yall ! I will be seeing me here in the forums often asking a ton of questions on how and what to upgrade on my Tundra. Thanks ! - Tom

Great To Be A Member, But I Have A Question, I Have Just Purchased A 1996 4runner, The Front U-joint Was Completely Worn Out, Thought That Would End The Vibration Problem, But It Didn't, At Highway Speeds The Vibration Is Very Noticeable, Any Direction For A Cure Would Be Great

Hello all!
Figured this was as good a way as any to get rid of that message;
"Hello Hamilton,
Our records indicate that you have never posted in our forums before! Why not make your first post today by saying hello to the other members? Start with your first post today and become an active member in the Tundra Solutions Forums."
Anyway, if you'll excuse me I'll go back to lurking,
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
Just picked up my new 06 Tundra Double Cab Limited 4X4 last Saturday, June 24th. Went in with my heart set on a double cab Tacoma and left with the Tundra.
I must say that I believe I made the right choice. Needed the double cab as I have a wife and daughter. Needed a big enough bed to haul a motorcycle to the track. Needed a 4x4 as we like to go up to the snow in the winter. It also needed to be big enough to haul gear for camping, fishing, etc. I'm not the biggest dude around (5'10" and 220lbs) but my brothers are either as big as me or bigger and we felt cramped when we all sat in a Tacoma double cab.
This is my 3rd p/u truck but my first 4x4. I had a 91' Nissan Hardbody Extended Cab and I had a 81' GMC Sierra 3/4 Ton regular cab.
Love the truck so far (she's got 161 miles as I type this) and I'm glad I found these forums.
Now, I must ask you Tundra veterans....is it a slippery slope as far as aftermarket mods and parts? I'm one of those guys who can't leave something stock.

Hello.
I have a 2002, 2X4 Thunder Gray Tundra I bought new. Needed to tow a trailer, otherwise, I probably would have got a Tacoma. Tundra, however is a wonderful truck.........

I'm back! purchased a new Double cab today, Waltrip edition. Nice truck, even though I am not a big nascar fan, nicely optioned and the only other one on the lot was a limited for 4K more.
Been lurking on here for a while, used to be a member, had an 03 access cab. Then I strayed and had an 04 Chevy Nissanand a 05frontier for a year. IMO not even close to the same quality. Test drove a titan, lotsa power, ugly seats and didnt care for the interior. And after the probs I experienced with the chevy and frontier, the titans rep was enough to scare me off.
I use my trucks for work, lease them to company I work for, and drive em 4-5K a month, if you were wondering why I trade so often
