Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself Here
Good Morning,
Just bought a white 2006 regular cab Tundra, options were AC, auto trans, V8, bedliner and mats. I just wanted a basic pickup truck with a full size bed. Got just what I was looking for!

Hi Everyone. I got myself a 2006 BlueSteel Metallic Tundra a few months ago. I just happened to find this website and already have learned so much about the truck. I wasn't too crazy about getting the Toyota at first but now that I have it, I love it. I don't think I'll buy anything but Toyota from now on.

Hello everyone! I am not new, but have been inactive so long, that I had to register all over again. Thinking about buying the 2007 Tundra when it's available, but still thinking about it as the 2003 we have does a fine job towing our trailer and best of all it's paid off!

Just found this site. I have a Doublecab 4X4 SR5 phantom grey tundra. And the wife owns a 2001 Sienna. Very happy with both vehicles. I hope to find all kind of good info to maintain the vehicles in top shape, thanks for such a great site.

Hi, We have two Tundras an 03 and an 05...we LOVE them..but have a problem!!! Our son has the 05 and it was stolen a few weeks ago....Unfortunately the theives attempted to ditch it in a canal..
when it was recovered 12 hours later, it was partially submerged (drivers side in about 3 feet of water...the theives did this while the engine was running and the engine is now seized...
the bigger problem..our son only had liability insurance (foolish yes..we have already had it out with him)
so, long story short..this will be out of pocket...is there ANY way to fix this vehicle without long term problems?

I came upon this site and joined a couple of years ago when I was trying to figure out how to adjust my headlights. I also stumbled on to one of the TSBs (that the dealer never mentions) regarding the tow package and lighting. There is a huge wealth of information here and I really appreciate it. I only recently came back around and have been searching and reading to hopefully gain a little more knowledge.
This forum is AWESOME. THANK YOU to those who started it, those who run it (if they are not the same) and those who participate in it. It is nice to be a part of a community where so many Toyota enthusiasts communicate about their positive and negative experiences.

Proud owner of a white 04 SR5 accesscab 4x4, matching Leer 100 canopy, linex bedliner, smittybuilt stepbars. Bought new winter of 04 on a buddy's recommendation, who has an 03. 21k miles, synthetic in the crankcase, Dean mud terrains w/extra siping for pavement traction. Daily driver/occasional off pavement/logging road use (hunting). After some research, cannot think of any performance mods I would do- its that nice as is! I'm more of a crawler off pavement so I'm more concerned with articulation and tire clearance than anything. Will do a leveling lift in front probably with spacers. I do notice some rear axle wrap when braking hard, would like to correct without making things too stiff. A set of those 1/2 arch helper springs? Any thoughts appreciated. Also, any hams with transmitter installs, I'm planning on hf through 220 in this eventually, I'm aware of RFI pitfalls, any experiences welcomed.

Brand new Tundra owner here. I literally got back from the dealer about 20 minutes ago. The truck is an 01 Ivan Stewart edition TRD. No mods besides stepbars that I know of. It's pretty damn cool

I recently purchased my dad's 2000 Tundra. He's easy on rigs and gave me a heck of a deal on it...so why not? So far, I've driven it about 500-1000 miles and I'm totally impressed. This thing is quieter than our 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm presently installing electric brakes (Prodigy) on this pickup and will use it to haul my dump trailer...amongst a variety of things.
This is a great (read: highly useful) forum. I've already learned a ton from the posts regarding installation of brakes, towing, etc.

I just found this forum today and am looking forward to the wealth of information available. Was looking for a solution to an alarm system. I own a 2005 Tundra DC with keyless entry. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR AN ALARM UPGRADE?

Hi all,
I recently purchased a new 06 DC 2WD. I now have 500 miles and am glad I got it. This site looks great - appreciate all the helpful info I've found already.

Hello to All,
Just another Toyota fan like the rest of you. I mainly have an 85 Toyota 4Runner with a 3.4V6 from a 96 T-100. It is my off-road toy. Eventually I will get an 06 D-Cab Tacoma 4x4.

Hi everybody! I just signed up after purchasing a brand new 2006 Tundra Double Cab. White in color.
I'm frustrated already because it doesn't seem to have even a basic alarm system and I'm much more frustrated because the dealer doesn't know what to do to give it alarm functionality.
The parts guy said they need to order the RS-3200 but I've learned from this website that the double cab doesn't use the rs3200.
Anyway, the truck is nice and solid and I like it a lot.
Color: white
Seats: leather
Low profile tires with chrome alloy wheels (Texas Edition).
