Hello Everyone,
I ama 2002 Tundra owner that has just encountered his first big problem.
My check engine light came on while driving so I took the vehicle to the dealer and they said my coil pack had melted. Further investation found that a peice of aluminum had somehow got sucked into the #3 valve where the coil pack was located and caused the problem. The repair bill is over 2000 dollars and my question to everyone is has this ever happened to anyone else? It seems to me that either some sicko tampered with my Tundra or Toyota has a defect somewhere along the way that they may not be acknowledging yet.

Howdy everyone, I have been searching the internet for anything I could find on the 07 tundra and this site popped up. Man, I want one sooooo bad...I currently drive a 00 tundra, I love that truck. only time its ever broke was for an O2 sensor. I have never even had to replace a lightbulb on it. I have made no special mods to the truck besides a k and n air filter and those new bosh plugs. So for 6 years this truck has been very kind to me. I tow with it quite often, I currently tow a 31 ft flagstaff travel trailer that has an empty weight of 6k, towes out ok, but I dont think it would do well in the mountains. Anywho I am gonna preorder the 07 tundra as soon as I can, it looks like a beast.

Hello, I'm the proud owner of a 2000 Tundra AC, 4x4, TRD. I purchased it a month ago with just under 70,000 miles. So far I have eliminated the dash squeak (with your help), found a sunglass holder for the overhead console, installed 265/70/16 Bridgestone Revo's, replaced the air filter, oil (synthetic) + filter and driven it 30mi/day. I have owned a 98 Tacoma, 2002 F150 and a 1996 Ranger in the past 8 years and I must say I am happy to own this Tundra.

I'm glad I found this site...it's very useful. I own a black 2005 Tundra Limited Access Cab TRD Offroad. It's been a great truck so far. The Tacoma looks tougher in my opinion...but I had to have the V-8. I'll probably buy the first 2007 Tundra as soon as it hits Guam.

Hi All, I just bought a new 06 4x2 White SR5 Double Cab. I am loving the truck so far, except for the gas mileage. Looking for some ideas on stereos because the JBL system doesn't have any punch. Already added Line-x and tinted the windows.

Hi guy I am new to the sight and just picked up a new 06 double cab tundra 4x4 but it is not my first tundra I have a 01 4x2 reg cab 3.4 v6 with 105 000 km of the hardest klicks you can put on a truck. Towing a 4400 lb trailer and a lot of very bad rig roads (with Tire chains) I put a trd supper charger on the 01 and drive it to the pin all the time. This was by far the best truck I ever had and only bought a new one because I now need to haul my crew to work so I needed the seating for 6. I am looking forward to puting the new 06 to the test on some muddy lease roads to see how it does.

Hi. I figured that I should into my self as well. I just got a decent deal on a 00 Tundra. It had a K&N installed which adds a nice growl when I waste gas. I replaced the old BFGs with Nitto Terra Grabbers 265/75R16 from Discount Tire. $532 with new stems AND free shipping! Great tires. I will get them again

Hi all, Just found this site. Have 2001 with 140,000 miles on it. Still keeps humming along. Pulls pretty good load too. Having trouble with check engine light now. Would like to tow behind my RV. Anybody have info on 'toad' specs? Thanks, Fenceman

Hello, Everyone
I just bought my first Toyota (2006 Tundra DC, 4WD, Tow Package). About the only things I could think of to add to it are a spray in bed liner and step rails. I've got about 750 miles on it already and really enjoy it. I'm getting 17.3 MPG so far, which includes about 50% "highway" driving and the rest is in town. I'm surprised to get mileage like this and have been told it may get better. I don't know if this is typical, but for a truck this big I expected it to be a lot less. I'm not complaining, though.
I've been driving pickup trucks for many years and like the Tundra better than any of them. But then again, I've never had a new truck before either. I am hoping to learn from these forums and will try to refrain from asking stupid questions, but if I do, I hope you guys forgive me.
Thank you in advande for your help and understanding.

Hello Everyone,
Just refound this site. 2000 Tundra bought new in late 1999, just turned 100,00 and no major problems. Trailer wiring seems to have been a problem but absolute love this truck.
Am looking into air suspension ...... will these kits allow the truck to be slightly lowered with a minimum of parts changeouts?
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself Here
Hey everybody. Found this site a few days ago.
I just purchased my first Tundra (first Toyota for that matter) almost two weeks ago and I absolutely love this truck. Mine is a white 2001 SR5 AC 2wd TRD. It is a very high mileage(140,000!!!!!) vehicle but I got what I think is a very good deal in it. It drives better than most newer trucks I have driven.
I hope to have fun and learn a few things while I'm here.

Just wanted to say hi and also that I think this site is really cool. I have a bone stock 06 4wd Tundra and hope to do some mild mods to it in the future. A supercharger would be cool...haha.
