Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself Here
Hi, New owner of a new 2006 access cab 4x4 TRD and had a couple of questions for the group. I would like to hook-up daytime running lights and wondered what I need to do it and if I can do it myself.
Next question concerns tonneau covers. I would like to know which ones most people are happy with. I was thinking of a Trifecta by Extang but I hear a lot about the roll-up ones as well.
Last question I have is related to the truck overall. Are there any TSB's with this model truck that I should be aware of. I only have 1100 miles on the truck so I probably won't notice any problems for a while.

My name is Rob and I am new to this forum. I always read about the Tundra on here and now I have joined. I have a 06 DC Silver. Just bought it about 4 or 5 months ago. I got the 20" Einkei's on it but I am looking to put some bigger rims on it . Not sure yet. Looking forward to chatting with everyone.

I'm just an old retired Army soldier that does a very little vehicle maintenance.
My 2001 6cyl man trans Tundra has served me well thus far. It has been giving me a pretty steady 20 mpg. I'm almost the sole driver--wife does not like to drive it(she has her Corolla). I've been having regular 5K services done at my favorite dealer since buying it in Feb 01. Yesterday I heard what sounded like stones in my exhaust system. Huh! No stones but the O2 Senser was just about hanging free. I could not see how it was fastened so I clamped it in place for the time being. The hole where it enteres the exhaust pipe is rusted. What now? Dealer service? Keep driving till the Check Engine Light goes on?

Hello all,
I just found this board tonight after a customer who came and bought a Tundra from me mentioned it in an email.
I work at Elk Grove Toyota as an Internet Sales Manager. I have one of the largest selections of Tundras in Northern California, and we have more arriving daily. If you're in California, let me know what I can do to earn your business.

Hi All...I just found this site trying to find a solution to a problem. I look forward to returning with any questions I might have regarding my Tundra (which I just love). Maybe I can even give a little advice....as long as it is not technical...

Hi All,
I just bought a used 2005 Double Cab SR5 Texas Edition Tundra with 29500 miles. I love this truck. I spotted the truck by accident when flipping through one of the free Truck Magazines you find at Wal-Mart. Anyways, I went to look at it the next day and went home with the truck. What I love about my truck is the looks and the space. It came with the toyota dealer 20" chrome rims which makes it look really sharp. So far the only changes I done to my truck have been changing the oil to Mobile1 Syntec and replacing the air filter with a K&N filter.
I really like you all's website. I am also a member to something very similar for my Nissan Armada that my wife drives. Anyways I ran into this site because when trying to do my oil change, I accidently removed the transmission bolt plug thinking it was the plug of the engine oil pan. Before doing anything to fix my mistake I google search on replacing tranmission fluid for my truck and that is how I found this wealth of information site. Now you all have a member for life.
