I just purchassed a 2000 Tundra and really want to lower my truck but need to know where to begin. I was thinking about airbags and other things but I have no idea were to look or how much it's going to set me back. Anyone with some info would be greatly appreciated!

Hello all,
I have been a member of the forums for a while mostly reading. I have found so much info here and y'all have saved me so much headach and heartache. I have a 2003 sr5 tundra 2x4. currently 2.5 spacers in front and AAL in back to clear my 285/75.16 BFG AT. Oh and a K&N air.
That being said i am in the process of replacing the spacer lift in front with Bilstein 5100 adjustable. So i just wanted to say thank you for all the posts and great info.

Hi everyone, first post from me. Usually I'm posting on Harley forums but now that I have a Tundra I guess I'll be here as well. Great forum and it's chock full of answers. Just bought a used 2006 V6 SR5 2WD Tundra Access Cab a couple of weeks ago I've spent a lot of time learning about it from reading all of your excellent posts. As a mater of fact I already did the Frigi Clean and Fridgi Fresh trick to get rid of some mold and mildew in the AC. The truck is pretty clean and only has 32K on the odometer so I'm guessing most of the shakes and rattles are pretty much out on the table by now. For a V6 this thing hauls balls pretty good... pleased with power. If we ever get out of the gas crunch I hope to buy a new Tundra with a V8. Starting to be a convert over the domestic trucks. Dumped my 11 MPG Expedition hoping this would get me some more value for my gas buck and still alow me to haul some crap. Seems to be pretty good but not exactly sure what the average MPG should be?

Greetings,
New guy saying hello. I have an 02 access cab that is a great vehicle, only problem I have ever had is it seems to consume O2 sensors to often. Anyway, I look forward to reading up on everyone's rides here.

Hello Tundra Solutions!!!
I have been checkin' out the site for a while and finally decided to register and post. I previously had an '04 Tundra AC and recently traded that in for an '05 DC. It seems like a real cool site for Toyota enthusiasts!
Re: Temperature Sensitive Automatic Transmissiopn Shifting
Hello;
I have a 2004 Tundra Limitted Double Cab, and being the original owner, I have been happy with my truck. But, now it has gotten this anommally that will not go away.
It seems that when the temperature outside is in the mid to high 90"s the transmission forgets to shift on time creating a lag between shift points. Sounds like a diesel truck in low gear.
It starts after around a 30 min drive on the freeway; then when I get off and drive in the city it lags on shifting, and the rpm's go up like a compressor spooling up on a jet engine. Started at 17,00 miles dealer could not find any thing wrong in the transmisson; I had someone go on a test drive with me, and the shift lag was wittnessed........... They replaced the computer, and 2 oxygen sensors.
At 33,000 miles problem came back, but could not get the dealership to duplicate it; it seems they would drive it in the morning, but it is in the afternoon that the problem happens.
75,000 miles on truck, and driving in temperatures of 90 to 110 degrees has brought back the shifting lag. The dealer could not find anything wrong in the transmisson, or computer. I asked them what was up ,and they do not know. Quality control repersentative called to see if I was happy........
So, has anyone heard of this scenario? Which only happens when the temperture outside is up.

Hi all, have been lurking for a while and finally joined today. I just bought a 2000 Tundra Limited, Access Cab, TRD Off Road Package, with 130,000 miles on it, a couple weeks ago. It is very well cared for and is almost like new. It has a color-matched, (Thunder Grey Metallic), Leer topper with opening windows on the sides. This forum is full of great information and I thank those of you that have taken the time to share your experiences.
That is my favorite part of the internet, no matter what I develop an interest in someone has put together a super forum to discuss it. Ya gotta look at a few to find the good one, looks like this is the one for Tundras.
My username is related to our 2003 GL1800 Goldwing that we have put 62,000 miles on. wee, as in whee were havin' fun now and weengers as in Goldwingers.
I had been looking for a Tundra for 3 months and there is a great God story as to how He led me to this truck which is much too long for these forums. It was not advertised, it was 150 miles from my home, I was not acquainted with the owner, it was located on a two lane blacktop that I never would have been on except for looking at a truck virtually identical to it at the dealership in St. Charles, IL. There is a lot more to this story but suffice it to say that I have no doubt, this truck is a gift from God.
I am 53, married to my high school sweetheart for 34 years, two grown children, a daughter, 27, and a son 25, both great kids. 1 granddaughter 20 months via my son and his wife. God is good.
I won't post much but I'll be reading all about my truck from your perspective and will be coming here to find answers to my questions.

Hey all,
Just wanted to pop in ad say Hi!
I have a 2002 white Tundra, access cab 4x4.
No real mods, other than a bigger set of Nitto Terra Grappler Rubbers and a check engine light thanks to an O2 sensor (bank 1)
Truck sees alot of off road time thanks to training my lab and hunting all fall/winter.
Love the truck and thanks to all who give good advise on here.

Hello and thank you for such an awesome site. I have a 2006 Double cab SR5 V8 and I love it. I have had it a year and a half and towed with it for the first time last weekend. This thing rocks. Good mpg comparatively and lots of fun. I hope to learn how to make it even better.
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
Hello all! So here is my story. I just recently became an owner of a 2003 Tundra TRD SR5 4x4. I used to be very involved in custom off-road modified Xterras. I sold that guy off, and got an f-150 because I needed a truck. Well I just sold that a month back, and was going to get an old beat up truck, and an old car for city. Well the wife thought our driveway would look like a junkyard, so she "MADE" me buy the one truck I had always wanted. I truly love this truck, and I guess you could say I am a proud owner.
Heard from the site by a member here by the user name, Reid. Just did a transaction with him and he had told me of this site.

What's up everyone. Last night I purchased a 2000 AC TRD with 54K miles for 12500. From the prices in Denver I felt like I got a pretty good deal. The truck is clean and I'm pleased with my purchase.
Had to upgrade my 03 Tacoma to a Tundra because I have switched from hauling dirt bikes to hauling horses and the Tacoma just couldn't handle it.
I've lurked the forums here for a bit and have killed hours reading threads and know I have a little work to do to it before its to my likeing.
I don't need two trucks but I'm finding it hard to sale my Tacoma - LOL
