It is my first time here, I bought a 2006 Tundra double cab last year and it is brand new and I only have 18,000 kilometers in it. I just noticed a couple of days ago that when I back up I can hear a loud squeky noise on the front brake. It only happen on reverse. I thought that the brake problems are only limited to 2000 - 2004 models. I will have to take it in for check up next week for for the meantime I like to hear from fellow Tundra owners if they had the same problems.

Hi all. I just purchased a 2000 Tundra 4.7L auto access cab 4x4 with 125k miles on it. The color is "Stellar Blue Pearl," which is, as far as I can tell, Toyotaspeak for "purple." In fact, when comparing specific trucks during the shopping process my wife and I assigned this one the codename "Purple People Eater."

The truck is to be a winter driver (3 mile commute) and summer utility for us. It replaces a '91 Honda Accord that was my winter beater.

I haven't spent a lot of time on the forum yet, but I know there's a lot of good information here, and will be searching (yes, I am aware of the search feature and will use it) for help selecting a soft tonneau cover, hitch, and potentially a remote starter (it'll be my wife's for the winter, and I'm stealing her Mini Cooper S with the heated seats).

Hi. I'm a new Tundra owner. I've owned several Toyotas, and plan to own several more. My family has owned several as well. I recently traded my 02 Tacoma Double Cab, 4x4 TRD for an 04 Tundra Double Cab, 4x4 TRD. It's my first V8 ever... granted it's a slightly underpowered V8, but it's night and day compared to the 3.4 in the Taco!! It's been a great truck, and I look forward to putting many more miles on it.

I appreciate these informative sites. They can really help answering questions, and it's nice to talk to others who have had similar questions, experiences and love for these vehicles!! I look forward to participating on this site.

Thanks,
Ben

Hello all. I just purchased a 2006 double cab Tundra after trading in my 2000 Tacoma with 130,000 miles. I have to say that I am impressed with everything I have read and experienced about the truck so far. I also own a 2007 Subaru STi and my wife owns a 2003 Honda Accord. I'm very active on an STi forum, so I see no reason why I won't share my time in here too.

Glad to be here, hoping to learn a bit and contribute at some point down the road.

Good Day Forum...I have been a Toyota Owner for almost 20 years now and am looking forward to some good discussions...i currently have a 03 tundra access cab 4x4 limited black.(hood deflector, vent visors, back up camera in visor,JBA Headers and a TRd air filter. I also worked for Toyota as a parts advisor and a TRD Representative in manitoba, Canada at the only authorized TRD dealer in the province. Future upgrades are Tuff Country 5 inch Lift (Currently sitting in garage) 20 inch or bigger wheels and at least 35 inch tires. Also in the plans are a Manik or similar push bar, Circo roof basket with lights,Blacked out headlights and black taillights and the final touch is a rear baja bumper. (if anybody has a line on a s/c please let me know!!!)

Hello Ted,
Or any other moderator,
My Name is John Hampton, I have visited this sight over the years for info. I am a novice and didn't know how to post this info. I own a 2006 Tundra now with a snugtop tonea cover. The support struts wore out and I could not cross the snugtop number to any other manufacture. I have since identified the # through a local parts house and they work perfectly. The OE snugtop # is 716821-0806 The Mighty Lift equivilent is # B95984. If you could put this info in a thread somewhere that other owners could search and find. It will save our fellow Toyota friends some money.
Thanks,
John Hampton

Hey Guys
Just bought my first Toyota today(06 SR5 access cab 4x4), been driving F-150's and 250's for 35 years and decided I needed a change. Just picked it up this afternoon so I haven't had much time behind the wheel but I already know I made a good decision.

This forum seems like a good place for advice and help and I'm sure I'll be posting some questions soon, so thanks in advance for answering whatever questions I come up with

Been reading these for a while now, finally signed up. I'm about to get my '03 out of the body shop after hitting a deer. I'm looking for a grill guard that looks good and is effective. I would appreciate any ideas.
