Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
Hello, I am a pre-owner of an 2006 V6 Access Cab. I'm going to buy it tomorrow and it will be my first Toyota. My '99 Dodge 1500 has been a great truck at 145K but it's time to move on. I have enjoyed the information on this board-loose mirror, recall info, tranny oddities, and decided to join in.
Two questions-(1)I've heard people say the space required to turn is larger than most-that true? I test drove but parked diagonal. (2)Reg or Synthetic @ 41K. I ran synthetic on the dodge but a friend is trying to talk me out of it?

Hey TS folks,
My Tundra and I have been together since October of 2000.
I knew she would be a working girl, so I sought out a single cab, long bed.
My kids are grown and on their own, now.
There were 3 on the lot, but the other 2, had been all gussied up.
I wanted a plain old girl.
Wanked the bedliner, Rhinolined it, we've been working ever since.
But she got a bit of something, no codes pop up, no warning lights.
She all of a sudden got afraid, of stop signs, lights, she'll just idle down to a stop. If I chnge to nuetral, and pump the gas, she'll smooth out. In neutral, she'll fire right back up no problems.
Any pointers to understand the initialed parts: MAF Sensor,ERG valve, is there a list I can download?
I'm going to go clean the air intakes, and get a new fuel filter, and of course keep reading.
Thanks to all of ya, for making a place for me to come to, work out my girls problem.

Not equipped with an EGR
I would recommend cleaning the throttlebody and MAF 1st.

Hi all,
I recently bought a 2006 D-cab 4x4 Darrell Walrtip in blue. This is a great truck! I am a salesman at Toyota of Puyallup (pronounced pew-all-up) My truck has tube steps, a canopy, and a spray-in liner. I have noticed that the D.W. edition seems to launch harder than other D-cabs and the gas mileage is below average. I don't consider myself a lead footed driver and obey speed laws (5mph over). does anyone have any ideas as to why my mileage is lower than other d-cabs? Is it geared lower or what? Another salesman I work with had a D.W. and his mileage was worse than mine ( he got 12mph, I get 13.5 in the city) Anyway I'll post some pics soon.
PS- anyone in Washington looking for new or used Toyota's come see me Don Zaraski at Toyota of Puyallup

Hello ALL !
I have a 2002 Tundra 4x4 V8(Love it). Recently the radio will not keep the preset stations after I turn the truck off. I have replaced the battery since this started happening but it did not help (other than I need a new battery).

Hello folks, new poster on this forum.. I have 2004 tundra Ext cab 4X4 with 4whl pop-up cab-over camper on it.. Good truck , only whine is the rather poor gas mileage and the small nature of the truck... Read that as in no place mount Hi-jacker , extra gas cans , water cans etc.. Thought about towing a small trailer for those long camping trips...

I'm brand new here. I just bought an 06 Tundra SR5 4x2 DC with 25K miles. It's salsa red pearl. It's stock, except for a Line-X spray-in bedliner. I'm having the front bumper covered with spray on bed-liner and a brush guard installed. I wanted an ARB or similiar replacement bumper, but they cost more than I want to pay. Hopefully it'll be ready tomorrow. I'll eventually get a camper shell so I can roll down the back glass and my great dane can ride in the back and get some A/C. I've been told by osama bin mama that I have to drive the tundra for 10 years, so hopefully it'll last. I'm good about doing maintenance. I've got 190000 miles on my 97 suburban and 123000 miles on my 04 saturn.
I'm on dial-up, so I've only worked through a few pages, and I won't post much until I've gone through them all. Hopefully someday I'll be able to contribute.

Hey kids!
Just got my first Toyota; had been driving an '87 BMW 325. Now I've got a 2000 Tundra AC 4x4 and am loving it so far. Bough it from a dealer with 89k on it; the previous owner bought it from that same dealer new and has had all of the maintenace and whatnot done there, they gave me all the service records for it
Digging it so far. Looking forward to exchanging posts with you guys and learning.
