Hello, My name is Brady and I recently bought a used 2006 Tundra DC SR5 4X4 in Timberland Mica. I owned a 95 Tacoma extracab 2wd V6 5 speed for the last 11 years and it was a great truck. Unfortunately I got in an accident on the way home and did enough damage that I decided that I should just get a new truck. I wanted another Tacoma (05 or newer DC 4X4 long bed) but they are way more expensive (used) than the Tundra DCs. It just didnt make sense to spend $3000 more for a smaller truck. I am sure that I would have been very happy with a Tacoma, but I love the Tundra. I was a Toyota salesman at the time when the DC Tundras came out and I was very impressed. As much as I like the new (07-09) Tundras, the 04-06 DCs work better for me. Four full doors and a full sized bed is just what I needed. The new DCs are too small to take the whole family on a vacation and the Cre Cab doesnt have that full sized bad that I need. Anyways, as a longtime Toyota owner I am happy to join the Tundra Family!!

I also just bought my first Tundra. My prior Toyota was an even older (92) 4X4. The 92 is a standard cab and I needed a little more room. I scored a good deal on a Phantom Grey 04 Access Cab SR5 4X4 with lots of options. I am happy with the change, the Tundra looks and drives great!
I appreciate the information on the site. I used TS.com to help determine the best Tundra for me. Thanks.

Holy Cow!!! 95 pages of introductions. Lots of people. I have an '01 Tundra V8 extra cab. Everything is pretty much standard on the truch except for fender flares and the step bar. I've enjoyed this truck for the time I've had it and hope to enjoy it for a long time.

Owner of an '02 Tundra V8 extended cab with about 105,000 miles on it. 3'' Body lift with 2.5'' suspension. Joined because every time I googled something about my truck, this was the first hit. Have seen some very helpful things on this site. Love my truck and will never by anything besides a Tundra.

Hey, great info on a great site. Just bought my first Tundra - an '05 X-SP Edition Double Cab. I've had 2 Toyota Pickups before, an 87 and a 93, and apparently the only reasons folks buy 2nd and 3rd trucks is due to accidents. ( I only wrecked one of mine.) Check out the pics of my blacked out beauty. Side note: Can anyone let me know where to look for replacement floor mats or headrests?

Just Registered, A few weeks ago I bought a 2006 SR5 Double cab tundra, phantom grey. I was looking at Double Cab Tacoma, but I'm glad I found a Tundra. I fit a lot better in a Tundra - 6'3" 235lbs. When I test drove a Tacoma, I felt that the roof was low and I had to slouch or bend down to see out of it. My Tundra has a moonroof and I love the rolldown back window. Can't wait for the summer time. I love this truck.

Hi, I have a Jade Mica Green 2000 Tundra SR5 4x4 TRD that I bought new with 7 miles on it in September of 1999. Sold my 1984 Supra to buy it.
I have looked at this site several times in the past nine plus years, but finally joined because I am getting ready to add a new sound system, and I needed ideas on where to put everything and how to hook it all up.
The only other things not stock on my truck are the step bars, trailer hitch and camper shell.

Hey There,
Just bought a Tundra. '06 Double Cab Limited TRD in white. 32k miles. Great tow vehicle! It took a bit of selling to get the wife to buy into a much larger vehicle (previous tow vehicle was a Jeep Grand Cherokee), but she's getting used to it.
We primarily use this as our "Weekend Warrior" vehicle with all our DIY projects, and for towing the boat. This fits the bill nicely.
I've already learned some tidbits from the forum (DRL disable, etc) and hope to learn more.
