New here also. Currently working on turbo charging this beast, pretty straight forward but I'm still working out how I'm going to do the fuel and air. Thinking about going all out with an EMS, but the dyno time needed to make a complete map will be $$$$

Hello all. I have wandered around the sight before, but I finally joined. I have had a 2005 SR5 TRD access cab for a couple of years now. Traded a 2005 dodge for it. Best thing I have ever done. I know that I will always have a toyota now.
Fabbing my second bumper for it now. I fabbed a prerunner type that it wears currently, and I should be done with a winch bumper for it this weekend, and I will be fabbing many more things for it soon. As long as I can keep up with all of the other bumpers I have to build.

Hey there everybody, I'm doing my thing by puttin' in my two words here. I've been a toyota owner since '93, and now I'm on my 4th Toyota truck. I currently have an '05 tundra that I expect & hope to keep around for many more years to come. I frequently modify it and also frequently have random miscellaneous questions for others regarding modifications. Also, I don't have any issues with others inquiring here. Late ! - bighugeditch

Hello all,
Its good to be here. Well there is the formalities.
I have been reading what I could not being a member. There is some great info that all of you have put out.
I have a question or issue... My 02 Tundra, is starting to do something weird. I used to know what it was when I actually got an error code, but I don't remember what it was.
Ok this is what is happening:
when I am driving down the road and slow down to turn at a light or whatever, when my RPMs get low the throttle doesn't stay about 500 - 1000 ish RPM, the truck will die. I have to coast into someplace and restart my truck. has anyone seen this or can remember what this could cause this.
I think it has something to do with the piece that the throttle is connected to but i don't remember what it is to order it or see if i can get it somewhere beside Toyota.
If any1 has an answer, it would be greatly appreciated!!
thanks!!!

Well, it took me 3 Dodge Rams and a Ford Ranger to get to my TUndra!1 LOL I just got a 2001 SR5 ext cab 4.7L. I love this truck!! it has 124,000 miles but is in good shape I think. I love how it is not a land boat, but has a perfect size bed. i look forward to many years with it and I think it will be able to handle it. This looks like a great forum! I signed up for a different one a few days ago, but I am not impressed with it. So, I went looking and found this one. Looks great.
Things I have done since getting it:
Oil change
Rear diff changed to Royal Purple
fuel filter
Spark plugs
Things I am doing soon
timing belt kit
steering rack bushings
struts/shocks
looking to put stock aluminum wheels on instead of the rusty steel ones
exhaust

Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
I bought my 2000 Tundra from my uncle last summer and he kept it bone stock, it won't be that way for long, looks like this website will be a big help in deciding what mods to add to my truck.
Most of my family drives Toyota, we can't say enough about them!

Can't make the "smilies" work, or I'd tip my hat. Howdee!
I found this place while looking for some info on exhaust systems for my '02 Tundra. Don't know why I am looking at exhaust systems, there is nothing wrong with the one I have, I can't afford to be buying anything, and I already have way too many projects to take care of. Guess I'm just a glutton for punishment.
Screen name is Rrumbler - I like rrumbly exhaust sounds. Moderately old guy (67), pretty thoroughly broken, retired electrician, lineman, millwright (among other things). Live in Las Vegas, Nevada since '03, and don't really care to be going anywhere else; I like it here. Got's a wife - 45 years worth, two grown sons and four grandkids. Was born, grew up and lived all my life until retirement in the greater SoCal region, spent a few years enjoying retirement in the High Sierras, then landed in "Vegas" seeking a warmer place to live. Got that in spades.
Bought my first Toyota in '83, a longbed 4x4; it finally became more than I wanted to deal with in '98, and I sold it. We got our moneys worth out of it though; it had somewhere in the vicinity of 500K miles on it - both of our kids used it through most of their high school and college years, and it lived in and romped around the Sierras for many years, hunting, camping, making impromptu road trips to wherever, and generally enjoying itself. I replaced it with a used '92 4x, and sold that one after I got the Tundra in '02. Tundra is an SR5 Access cab 4x, V-8. Over the years, we seem to have become an almost total Toyota family; my Bride drives an '03 Avalon, and one son has a 4Runner and a Lexus 360, and the other D-I-L has a Camry.
You will see me from time to time mainly on the 1st Gen., regional, and general forums, but I'll likely just hang out ad lurk most of the time.
Now, back to perusing the boards.
Later.
