Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
I have a 2000 tundra; in service Dec 1999, TRD 4X4. It has accumulated 178,000 miles, 3 deer strikes, two hurricanes and lots of trips to the woods. It's plain stock, but the time has come to do some mods/maintenance.
I am planning a short lift; Bilsteins 5100's, re-paint wheel flairs and bed with Walmart bed liner paint and see if I can get a taller tire. It's also time to replace timing-belt, misc hoses/belts, trans fluid and ect.
I live in the Pensacola, Florida Panhandle, and also use the truck for hunting. I wanted to see what other owners recomend for tires, lifts and mods. Looking foward to other members input.

hi all,
Recently bought a Grey 05 Tundra SR5 DBLCB TRD 4x4, I've only tinted wndws and oil guarded so far (we get all 4 seasons here and they salt the roads). I'm looking forward to learning more as i hope to accessorize my truck over the next couple yrs. Some of the wish list items (which i have no idea of the manufacturers, types or styles yet) I have been considering are nerf bars (w/extnd box step), stereo with DVD/USB, push bar, and tonneau or topper (thinking collapsable for easier removal between hunting seasons),custom floormats, additional hp,etc. you probably get the idea. Not sure what to expect yet but lookin forward to finding out.

New member today from southern IN. I have had pretty decent luck with my 2007 SR5 Tundra and really love the performance. My wife has a 2003 Highlander that she really likes also. Joined the forum to see if I could learn from others about any problems relating to the power door lock failure I have experienced.

Just bought a 2000 a couple weeks ago. 4x4, Limited, TRD Off-Road, Black Access Cab. Purchased 5/28/09, 90,000 miles. Dual exhaust (which I'd like to exchange for a nice single 2 1/2" or so Flowmaster exhaust), aftermarket alloy wheels (which I don't like), Liberator tires (which I also don't like), sunroof (which I do like ), Line-X bedliner (which I also like).

Just purchased my 1st Toyota product and I don't think it will be my last. 08 Tundra Crew Max Fact. Demo. 4X4 with 5.7L. Just and awesome ride and great fuel economy so far. Thanks, for the site I hope to learn from those who have traveled the road before me.
Gulf Coast Toyota Angleton, TX was by far the BEST experience at a dealership I have ever experienced.

Long time Toy owner, first time TS member!
2001 Tundra Limited TRD. Thundercloud metallic. 231,000 miles bought at 95K.
Just R/R rear wheel bearings yesterday, looking to do the same for the front (screeching at 25-50 MPH).
New timing belt at 195K miles. DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE THE TIMING BELT EVERY 100K!!! The 2UZFE motor is an interference motor, and things get ugly fast when the valves kiss the pistons!

Second time around for us on the Tundra. DH had a '03 Tundra V6, just to cruise around in and haul a little bit. Then in 2008, the RVing bug bit and we wanted a fiver so, traded the 03 for the 08 5.7 iforce, V8, SR5, w/Tow Pkg. Awesome towing! But not only that, the ride is the best! We also have a 2007 RAV4 in the garage, love it too. I use the RAV to commute 60mi a day to work, and I am not tired after the drive at all!

10 years of Tundras? How about 10 hours. Just got my first every Toyota or as we call them in Maine, "Tayotah". It's a well-used 2002 Tundra 4.7 4x4 AC w/ about 150k. Showin'. Who knows for sure... Anyway, it's nice but seems to have the oft maligned brakes for that year and has the telltale ticktock of exhaust manifolds that will eventually be replaced. Apart from that it's cushy, has a high wife approval factor and is quiet. Replaces my 1989 GMC K1500 which is just tired at this point. Thanks for the good forums. I plan to do the brakes soon, replace the rear bent bumper with a new one and then lay low. Look forward to Tayotering or whatever it is we do in Tayotahs.
