05 Access Cab wind noise

I have a friend that has a 05 Access Cab Tundra. He likes everything about the truck except the wind noise coming from the driver's side access door. He was told by the dealer that it is actually coming from the vent on the rear outside wall of the truck that are used to let the air escape from the inside of the truck when the doors are closed and there is no way to fix it cheap. My question is: Is there anyway to fix this problem without having to spend a fortune?
