Default Yet another dash problem

I've been a regular for a while, and still have heard nothing on my worst noise-making problem. After my truck sits in a parking lot a while, especially when the sun comes out, it makes a very audible popping sound when I start driving it. It appears to be coming from the passenger front door or dash. It used to happen in extreme heat only, but now as the temperature exceeds 72 degrees, the sound starts again. It's sounds exactly like someone snapping their fingers. I've banged on it, pulled on stuff, put backer rod in every crevace, but can't figure it out. This is the only time my dash makes noise, as it is perfect in the winter. Any help would be appreciated.
