Default I have the clunk too!
Just took my 02 4x4 in for a myriad of braking symptoms and one of these was the clunking noise when initially going in reverse. As it turns out, the dealer took it for a ride and immediately did the Rear Brake TSB. They took it for another ride and said they will order all parts for the full Front Brake TSB.

I still hear the clunking noise so it must be normal!

I don't know how far you are from 3/36 but I wouldn't wait to get these brake TSB's done. I'm guessing that it would probably cost about $800 for parts and labor if the dealer were to charge you for the work. Under the 3/36 Factory Warranty covers everything.
