Check the dust cover of the 7-pin. My '04 has the pin connections molded into it. My '04 has the center pin as back-up lights. BTW, I bought a 7-pin to 5-pin converter at Wally World for around $15. Your's is probably wired the same way. I think it's an industry standard.
