Forced air induction engines such as our SC tundras also benefit from higher octane with less need to retard timing to prevent pinging. Though I'm still too nervous to really run this doctored fuel on a regular basis, definitely stronger smoother power when I did try it. Otherwise yes, lots of situations the slower burning fuel could actually just hurt performance.
