No benefit other than sound at the bottom end... perhaps even some torque loss, but I didn't notice any difference at all. Likewise, I saw no change in gas mileage. Power at the top end? I couldn't honestly tell you... I've never found my Tundra lacking except when it's not "in the band".

I'm sure there's a measurable increase at the top end, but it's not something you'll really feel in the seat of your pants.

As far as differences between FM or MF, I looked at it as appearance and durability. The TRD is completely polished stainless (the muffler looks like a milk truck), and the TRD etched tips look sweet.

I picked a high-perf dual system for the sound, and I picked the TRD for appearance. I was happy with my stock performance, and would have been happy with any aftermarket that didn't actually hurt performance.
