If you want more power, learn to fabricate and weld. Don't ruin a good truck.

I have a mazda rx7. Its very hard to find aftermarket for many of the parts on it. I learned to weld and do minor fabrication and now make many of my own parts like exaust, intake, and minor engine components.

As far as building internals for the engine, most aftermarket companies will custom grind stuff like cams and crankshafts, and will fab up pistons and rods. And they won't charge too much more than they do for big 3 parts.

I'd check into that before undergoing something as extreme as swapping a different brand motor in.
