The dealer name is Greens Toyota. Actually, they are the most helpful one so far. They called Extended Warranty for me. My impression of the service manager was that he was trying to help, but his hands were tied. The other two local dealers did not even want to make an attempt. I was told I am wasting my time, brake parts are not covered because it is wear and tear, blah blah blah....
A few months ago Greens Toyota got the credit for replacing my rear amplifier (It is a TSB, covered under Extended Warranty), so I am somewhat believe what they had told me regarding the brakes. I have tried the other two local dealers to fix my amps, and they did not seems too eager to help.
I am going to back to the Greens and offer to pay for the pad if they could somehow cover the calipers via Extended Warranty or something. The truck needs new pads anyway. From my understanding the calipers are the big bucks, pad are cheaper...
Thank you for the reply - really appreciated !
