They strengthened and lenghthened where appropriate; but whatever engineering decision led to the creation of the 'full size' Tundra was probably a bargain for Toyota. Hopefully, the front suspension finds it's way back into the parts bin before the 2006 model. If they ever want to know how to build a Tundra, all they have to do is ask here...Many guys have built them successfully in their garages and driveways, replacing the failure prone parts with better axles, diffs, brakes etc. The only thing I still love about my Tundra after 5 years of ownership is the motor--the rest will eventually suffer a slow and painful death at the behest of an angle grinder.

you have a few point's in the 5 year's ive had my truck I can tell you what weakness this tundra has and what I would like to see changed out..The Tundra is an ok truck however seem's in 2000 I would have liked to see better advancment's on the part bin and part's not used from the tacoma lineup brakes for one being a major drawback on this truck and weak setup at that

Alignment is not affected by the balljoints, unless the balljoint comes popping off and your rig looks like Propak's.
