The K&N oil filter is made by Champion Laboratories who also make many other brands. The filtration is average, the construction is very stout, and the flow rate is high for modified engines with high output oil pumps. It offers no special benefit to a stock
engine.

The K&N air filter is a subject of great debate. The fact that there is no concensus says a lot. I won't use one. In many cases it allows more dirt to pass into the engine. Some folks think it offers more flow, but so what. The throttle plate is restricting the air flow, doing its job, at all times except full throttle.

The best oil filters are probably OEM, Purolator Pure One, and Mobil 1. I think the best air filter is the OEM filter.
