Hinge fixed permenantly! I pulled the 2 hinge pins out and removed the broken plastic hinge. I then took a piece of solid aluminum rod and used the broken plastic hinge as a model to make an aluminum hinge. I chose aluminum because it is easier to machine(grind and drill) than steel but alot stronger than plastic. After I cut the aluminum to length, i drilled holes in each end of the aluminum rod. I used the metal pins to choose the correct drill bit size. I then took a dremel to fabricate the aluminum rod into the same basic shape as the old plastic hinge. It works good as new.Have a pic but I can't figure out how to add it to this post.Check it out in my photo gallery.
