I checked the TSB and my truck is in the group. I'll be sure to print out a copy of DJ's alignment specs when I go for the recall seeing that an alignment is part of it.
As far as tire wear, if the fronts are wearing uneven it likely is an alignment issue that may be a ball joint issue. If the tires are wearing out evenly and you keep them maintained correctly (rotation & inflation) you just are one of the lucky owners of the crap tires that Toyota puts on as original equipment.
I squeezed 35K from the original Dunlop’s and 45K from Bridgestone HT's that came with a wheel deal. I just put on Firestone Destination LE's that look identical to the Bridgestone equivalent except for the name on the side. Great rain & dry ratings in Tirerack and I agree. They have a 60K rating but that remains to be seen. The price is right if you shop around a little. Firestone is trying to loose the bad name that "500" and Ford gave them.
