IMPORTANT NOTE FOR RETRAX and ACCESS COVER OWNERS!!!!
I've done ALOT of research and consulted with BOTH RETRAX and TRACRAC....they both have assured me that the TRACRAC WILL fit as long as you have access to the stake pockets and order the rails without the 3rd inside rail (ie for my 2004 Tundra Double Cab...rails #OL-21609)
The vendor has assured me that if you do not find it fits that it CAN be returned!
"Any special circumstances on fitment I would like to have the individual call us to determine the fit. Returns are normally no problem. If we state it will work and for some reason it does not (assuming we were given all details in advance) we will credit in full if received back in resalable condition. If it is a matter of the individual deciding they just do not like it then they will be responsible for freight costs. The OL-21609 is supposed to work well with some bed covers. I cannot verify the Retrax. I know it will work with the Access brand tonneau covers. If TracRac has stated it will work with Retrax then we must assume it will." -- Group Buy Vendor
Testimonials
"The Trac Rac system works fine with the RETRAX. After the bed cover is in the correct position mark the middle of the stake pockets and drill a 7/16" hole through the RETRAX rails. The rack is then installed on top of
the RETRAX rails."---Randy @ RETRAX Sales & Service
"We do have a system for the 2004 Toyota Double Cab it will be available by
March 31st. The bed rails have be clear free. The only thing that I can recommend is ordering an 0L-21609 for the base rail which will take out that 3rd inner track to allow it to work properly."--Megan Viveiros Customer Support Rep TracRac Inc.
If you still don't think this is a good deal read what a competitor vendor stated to me
"Pete - Take "vendors name removed" up on their offer: Margin is really low on all TracRac products and shipping is well over $100 on the larger items. If
they will honor their online pricing take it...they will loose money on all orders shipped east of the Rocky Mountains."
The picture below shows the TracRac on a RockymtnRay's Tundra (with Peragon cover) to allow you to see the clearances of the rail and a cover and how the rails sits on the truck bedrail. There should be no fitment issues with Retrax using the OL series (without thrid inner rail) of rails just as Randy from Retrax suggested!!!
