Default Great deal ....

If anyone is on the fence, I have one on my 2005 tundra and use it to haul kayaks frequently ....

The TracRac is absolutely built like a rock .. I've used Thule and Yakima racks on many vehicles in the past and the TracRac is really just in another league ....

Plus I paid a bit more than $599.95 ....

cd

Couple Tips:

1 If you take the trestles off and on frequently, it helps to use a 5" file and just gently smooth off the very ends of the rails. The rails are solid aluminum and are milled very nicely, but the milling leaves a fairly sharp edge that makes it kind of tough to put the trestles ON easily. They come off just fine.

2. Pay ABSOLUTE attention to making sure the rails are completly level. The instructions are very clear about this - don't blow it off. You need a straight edge that's as wide as the bed to install correctly. I had to remove rails once (after about a month) because they just weren't sliding well .. prob was that I was just not so careful on the first attempt as I should have been ....

Hope you guys are as happy with TracRac as I am ...
