Well I always liked the look/tread of the Goodyear Wranglers and my family has gotten good mileage out of them for this I chose them as my first replacement tires on my Tundra.

As far as rubbing I cant say for sure but on paper 275/70/17 is a 1/2 inch shorter than the 285/70/17 that people are complaining are rubbing.
