Hmmm... never heard of that, or for that matter... thought of that?! Fact is though, that actually sounds like a MUCH better solution than the metal hose clamps, which would actually "decrease" the chance for the overlap issue! Plus they're probably VERY close to the exact same size as the stock boot clamps in width. for the in-put there Jeff!

The only other soution, which I know of, is a simple diff drop kit. They aren't very expensive, but using one will require some small modification to the skid plate.
