I agree about the port tuning but..... What is the gross internal volume for this enclosure? I'm sure it is next to nothing. Basically Muddn got lucky with a backyard sub install. Sealing the "port" will probably not help the sound quality. I don't know what the specs are for that driver, but I'm guessing it calls for a sealed enclosure of at least .6 cu. ft. I have a Boston G2 with .7 in my regular cab. I would have liked a larger enclosure, but space is at a premium in a regular cab. A ported design isn't an option for me. I will say, speaker manufacturers definetly have raised the bar with speaker design since I was in competition. I was around since the first Punch 45's came out! The build quality was definetly better back in those days IMHO.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you like the way it sounds....kudos.
