I had that problem once after I had the battery disconnected. Actually, I noticed my rear wiper wasn't working and then I realized my rear window wasn't either. I got my multimeter out, checked a bunch of fuses, and jiggled the rear wiper.

To my surprise mine started working again in the middle of my troubleshooting (so I have no idea if I did something or if it was coincidence.) If you figure out what gets yours going please do share.

P.S. I suspected that the window wouldn't operate when it thought the rear wiper was not in its proper resting spot. If a fuse isn't blown I'd start at the rear wiper.
